The Rose of the Lake

The Rose of the Lake is the first and only Bed and Breakfast in Grand Rivers, Kentucky's Resort Village. Grand Rivers is a peninsula bounded on the east by Lake Barkley, the west bounded by Kentucky Lake, and the south bounded by the canal that connects the two lakes. Land Between the Lakes, the national recreation area is just over the canal.

The guest rooms are all named for a delicate Rose and the decor is splashed with the colors of that Rose. Each morning of your stay the kitchen will be filled with the aromas of the wonderful dishes being prepared for your breakfast. Make yourself comfortable in our dining room and enjoy being served a relaxed home-made breakfast while enjoying warm conversations with your hosts and other guests.

In walking distance from The Rose of the Lake are many local attractions including Historic Grand Rivers (Kentucky's Resort Village) and Patti's 1880's Settlement. Walk from Lake Barkley to Kentucky Lake (two of the largest man made lakes in the world) through the new Grand Rivers Park. On the way, eat at Patti and Bills Restaurant, hands down one of the best restaurants in the state! Take in the live Variety show at the new Badgett Playhouse on your way back. Come during the Christmas season and experience the fabulous light display in town. Then on top of that, we are located roughly a mile from The National Forest Service's Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area offering over 170,000 undisturbed acres and 300 miles of undeveloped shoreline. Bring your bikes and ride the trails, or rent a kayak and explore the shoreline.
